The Start of Things
Vinod’s fascination with communication began in the early 90s when running his advertising and design agency. This continued in his corporate roles in training, quality, operations, and business development.

Once, while at Disneyland for a project presentation, he saw something that surprised him. Rather than routinely doing things, Disney employees were truly enjoying their work. When customer issues arose they showed ownership by making quick decisions. Everyone was driven by a common passion – ensuring a great customer experience. A behind-the-scenes tour revealed that the people there saw themselves not as employees – but as actors on stage giving their best performances. This was possible because of a powerful purpose – a single story they all aligned to.

Storytelling had captivated Vinod. He applied it to his roles at India’s first teleconferencing company, and later at Webex and Cisco. Convinced of storytelling’s strategic value he founded DustyPaths in 2019.

Deepa, with a decade in marketing and strategy at fast-growing tech companies, joined him. Their mission: to bring the power of storytelling to the workplace.
